The First Shall Be Last

We are the tops, morons, all
But some more dumb than others,
Old Gosser shouts "Give us 've ball"
As beneath the scrum he smothers.

Dear Martin, pass the ball, I pray
Before you invite tackles.
So he spreads his ears to fly away
But finds his legs in shackles.

Ginge Creagh runs straight with watchful eye,
His steps are springy and light.
He dives for the line, to score a try,
And finds the ball in flight.

Dusty cries "Allons, enfants"
And dives into the scrum.
He pulls out Phillip by the pants
Then shows how it is done.

Big Mac flies right along the wing,
The ball clutched in his hand
Knocks opposition to right and left
Leaving them scattered over land.

Gerry is a hardy Mick,
He dummies and he scissors
The trouble is he's a little thick
And Little Mac usually dithers.
