The trick with this site is to start at the bottom and work up -- advice provided by Ginge Creagh (many years ago in one of his finer moments !) that has come in very handy on innumerable occasions over the last half century

If I'm correct Shirley was Richard's first love and you've lost your bet - they married.
Richard was last heard of in 2005 as CEO for HSBC in the Sub-Sahara area. This was the bank he went to work for immediately on leaving school
